Rotary Lift ATS Delivered

Advint delivers Test System to Rotary for Vehicle Lift Control

Advint has successfully completed development and delivery of an automatic test system (ATS) to assist in the development and production testing of Rotary’s lift controller printed circuit boards (PCBs).  The test system consists of an 8-slot PXI chassis housing various mixed-signal modules controlled by a PC using the MXI-3 interface kit.  Advint also built an interface board to break out  the PXI signals and a separate fixture to hold the PCB.  The interface board provides test points for the signals, load resistors, and a removable connection to the PCB fixture that allows for the testing other Rotary PCB products.

The PXI modules offer numerous channels of analog and digital I/O and switches.  The PXI chassis also contains a DMM for general purpose measurements and a field programmable gate array (FPGA) module that functions as an embedded processing unit within the PXI subsystem.

Advint used the LabVIEW graphical programming language to develop an application that allows the ATS user to manually interact with the PCB.  This application contains lift modeling algorithms to emulate the lift hardware as it operates in the closed-loop control of the PCB.  LabVIEW was also used to create code modules for use in the automated testing of the PCBs.  These code modules are callable from TestStand and can be used as used as building blocks for creating test sequences as development of the PCBs progress.
