Advint has again been selected by L-3 Communications, a leading defense company, to build additional automatic test systems and related Interface Test Adapters (ITAs) for support of Cincinnati Electronics infrared product line. The program includes the build of an additional Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) tester, and an Evironmental Stress Screening (ESS) test system too. In addition to the build of the test system, Advint will also develop and produce a tester self-test capability for the CCA tester. The project entails the development of mechanical design & drawings, parts lists, schematics, wiring diagrams, material procurement, and build activities. The CCA tester incorporates an 18-slot National Instruments PXI chassis and and associated digital/analog instrumentation. The tester Receiver and related Test Adapters use the Virginia Panel Corporation G12 interface.
The G12 interface provides a twelve module solution that provides an easy way of guiding
the fixture into position prior to engagement. The tabletop configuration allows the G12 to be mounted to any horizontal surface with rear covers
to protect wiring from the receiver to the test equipment. Precise signal integrity between the Receiver and ITA is maintained by the QuadraTrack™
engagement system that distributes uniform pressure to four points on the ITA during engagement and disengagement.
