Functional & In-Circuit Test in One

Huntron's TrackerPXI™ available in Advint test systems

Advint's family of industry leading PXI based test systems are now available with Huntron's new TrackerPXI™ module and Access Automated Probing Station to provide both functional and in-circuit test in a single tester. Functional test is used for end-to-end testing to verify proper operation of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs). In-circuit test provides component level diagnostics via signature analysis to troubleshoot PCB faults. Advint has recently become a Huntron approved system integrator for implementation of Huntron industry leading in-circuit test solutions into its turnkey test systems.

This hybrid approach addresses inherent test technique shortcomings incumbent with either type of testing when used in a stand alone fashion. In-circuit testing eliminates costly, error prone functional TPS diagnostics development and execution. Functional testing verifies PCB performance and Ready For Issue (RFI) certification that in-circuit testing does not provide.

About Huntron

Huntron was founded in 1976 in Mill Creek, Washington and introduced the Huntron Tracker®, a revolutionary product that allowed technicians to troubleshoot electronic circuits without having to apply power to the circuit under test. The company soon became a leading supplier of troubleshooting equipment to service organizations worldwide including the US Military. In 1995, the company introduced the ProTrack® Series of automatic computer controlled repair stations. Automatic probing using a robotic flying head prober made these systems ideal for rework areas in electronic printed circuit assembly applications. These flying head probers can also be interfaced with other types of test equipment.
