The U.S. Air Force Metrology and Calibration program (AFMETCAL) has awarded Advint a second delivery order for two (2) more Portable Automatic Test Equipment Calibrator (PATEC) units as part of its fiscal year 2010 buy. The PATEC contains commercial electronic, electro-mechanical and mechanical calibration equipment and associated accessories from Fluke, Anritsu, and Agilent Technologies to provide on-site calibration support of Air Force Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) throughout the world. The PATEC standards are rack-mounted in special shock mounted instrumentation cases to protect the equipment during shipment, and to permit the equipment to be operated without removal from the cases. Advint will procure, test, assemble, and deliver the PATEC systems to Warner Robins Air Force Base in Georgia.
PATEC supports calibration of automatic test systems used for maintenance support of the A-10, B-1, B-2, C-5, E-3, E-8, F-15, and F-16 combat aircraft. In addition, the PATEC is also used to support calibration of the Air Force's new standard tester the Versatile Depot Automatic Test Station (VDATS). Proper calibration of Common and Peculiar Support Equipment ensures weapon systems performance tests are accurate, traceable, uniform and reliable.
