ABB has placed orders with Advint for production of its new AGP 400 data acquisition system for paper mill automation. The new system employs National Instruments latest CompactDAQ-9172 8-slot chassis containing high performance analog and digital I/O packaged in a rugged enclosure for field use. In addition, the system also offers a pressure and vibration option. This option allows the system to process up to eight (8) channels of pressure input, and four (4) channels of vibration input simultaneously. The system samples two (2) channels at a 20 KHz rate. In addition, the solution provides an upgraded user interface, and enhanced continuous scroll trending capability. The system also provides additional sensor calculations in accordance with customer specific algorithms.
