ABB has placed orders with Advint for production of additional AGP 400 data acquisition systems for paper mill automation. These systems are in use in paper mills throughout the world to monitor key parameters such as weight, moisture, and caliper during the paper making process. The system employs National Instruments CompactDAQ-9172 8-slot chassis containing high performance analog and digital I/O packaged in a rugged enclosure for field use. In addition, the system also offers a pressure and vibration option. This option allows the system to process up to eight (8) channels of pressure input, and four (4) channels of vibration input simultaneously. The system samples two (2) channels at a 20 KHz rate. In addition, the solution provides an upgraded user interface, and enhanced continuous scroll trending capability. The system also provides additional sensor calculations in accordance with customer specific algorithms.
